Cloudforce Awarded State Funding to Expand AI Internship Opportunities Across Maryland

Cloudforce has been awarded funding through the Maryland Lighthouse Industries & AI Internship Program, to support the next generation of AI and cloud talent across Maryland.  As a Microsoft partner building enterprise AI solutions, Cloudforce will provide hands-on internship opportunities across three technical pathways, equipping students and recent graduates with real-world experience from day one. 

More Than a Grant – A Mission in Action 

At Cloudforce, we call it tech with a human touch. It means we never lose sight of the people behind the technology – the ones building it, using it, and whose lives it has the power to change. That’s always been who we are, and it’s what led us to build Cloudforce for Good (CF4G) – our way of making sure we’re giving back as much as we’re building. 

When Governor Wes Moore’s administration announced a $4 million investment to help prepare Maryland workers for an AI-driven economy, it felt like a natural fit. The Maryland Lighthouse Industries & AI Internship Program was designed to bridge the gap between education and employment in Maryland’s tech sector, a need Cloudforce has long been committed to addressing. We are proud to participate in this program. 

Three Pathways – Find Your Fit 

Through this program, Cloudforce is bringing on interns across three pathways, all centered on nebulaONE®, its enterprise AI platform. You’ll be doing actual work, on an actual platform, with people who want to see you succeed. 

🤖 AI Agent Builder Intern 

You’ll work directly with nebulaONE, helping design and build AI agents that solve real problems. If you’re the kind of person who loves figuring out how things work and wants to build something that actually gets used – this is your track. 

⚡ AI Enablement Intern 

Great technology matters when people can use it. In this role, you’ll help organizations get the most out of AI – taking something complex and making it click for the people who need it. If you’re a natural communicator with a love for tech, this one was made for you. 

☁️ Cloud Solutions Intern 

Every great platform needs a solid foundation. You’ll get hands-on experience building and optimizing the cloud infrastructure that keeps businesses moving. If you want to understand how enterprise technology works under the hood – start here. 

Eligibility 

This program is designed for students and recent graduates ready to begin their careers in AI and cloud. You’re eligible if you are: 

  • A college senior currently enrolled at a Maryland institution of higher education, OR 
  • A recent graduate (within the last two years) of an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. program, from a Maryland institute 

It’s a three-month internship – focused, fast-moving, and designed to provide hands-on, real-world experience.

You’ll be working with some of the sharpest people in AI and cloud technology – not observing them, working with them. People who are deep in the industry and genuinely enjoy bringing others along. You’ll be in the mix from day one. 

For many of you, this may be your first step into the industry. We get it, and we take that seriously. Our goal is that when you’ve completed the program, you feel it – more confident, more capable, and with a real sense of what you can do. There’s no better place to start your career than alongside the people who are actively building the future of AI and cloud technology.

Governor Moore said this investment is about making sure “pathways to work, wages, and wealth remain open to all” as Maryland steps into an AI-driven economy. We’re proud to be a part of that – but what excites us most is what we’ve seen happen when you invest in people the right way. That’s the cycle we’re trying to keep going. This internship program is just the latest way we’re doing it.
