A graduate of the University of Maryland, Daud Ibrahim earned his degree in Information Science with a minor in Neuroscience, an academic combination that reflects both his curiosity about people and his interest in technology. For much of college, Daud was on a pre-health track with plans to become a physical therapist, drawn to the idea of helping people in a meaningful, hands-on way. But as he got deeper into the field, he realized he wanted a career with more variety, creative problem-solving, and opportunities to work with constantly evolving technology. That realization led him to make a bold pivot into tech.
Daud first connected with Cloudforce through our Cloudforce for Good initiative, Future Force, when he attended the AI Agent Boot Camp. There, his innovative AI agent idea and presentation earned him a $5,000 scholarship, an achievement that helped inspire his path to joining the team. Now as a Product Support Associate, Daud brings a passion for problem-solving, technology, and creative solutions, along with a unique perspective on how thoughtful support can make complex systems feel more accessible.
Before joining Cloudforce, Daud explored several roles that shaped his solutions-oriented approach. In market research for consumer electronics, he saw how data can influence real-world decisions and product strategy. As a Teaching Assistant for INST346, he strengthened his communication skills and discovered how much he enjoys making complex ideas feel clear and approachable. Later, as a Solution Engineer at Lumen Technologies, Daud found a natural fit at the intersection of technical insight and customer needs, building solutions that helped lay the foundation for his transition into cloud technologies.
Outside of work, Daud is fueled by exploration and creativity. He loves traveling, immersing himself in different cultures, and picking up new hobbies along the way. Whether he is writing songs or poetry, capturing moments through photography, experimenting with videography, snowboarding, or motorcycling, Daud feels most inspired when he is learning, creating, and pushing just beyond his comfort zone.
Other fun facts about Daud:

If you had a time machine, would you go back or into the future? And why?
- I’d easily choose to go back in time. I’d want to trace my family history as far back as possible. I’d want to meet the people I came from, hear their stories, and finally answer all the questions we never get clear answers to. Just getting to witness that would be amazing.
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
- Mastering every world language so I could connect with anyone, anywhere.
What would be the most surprising scientific discovery imaginable?
If I had one wish from a genie, I’d use it to uncover exactly how the Egyptian pyramids were built. It might not be the biggest revelation for the entire world, but to me, finally knowing every detail of how they pulled it off would be the ultimate mystery solved.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given?
- “Nothing in nature blossoms all year round, and you don’t have to either.” It’s a reminder that rest is natural, growth happens in seasons, and you don’t need to be at your peak 24/7 to be progressing.
If you could be guaranteed one thing in life (besides money), what would it be and why?
- Good health influences EVERYTHING — your happiness, your energy, your ability to show up for the people and passions you care about.
