Zach Ebner’s journey into software began not with a dramatic origin story, but with something arguably more powerful: a quiet, enduring obsession with building things that work. From his early years growing up in Austin, Texas, Zach was drawn to the logic and craft of software development, a passion that would carry him through a career defined by technical depth, steady growth, and a knack for solving hard problems in complex domains.
After earning his degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas, Zach set his sights on the world of enterprise software. He spent years in consulting sharpening his instincts before landing at Sovren, a specialized resume parsing and matching company, where he rose to the role of Software Architect. It was there that Zach developed a deep fluency in the intersection of HR technology and intelligent software systems, a thread that would continue to define his career. Most recently, he served as a Staff Engineer at Bullhorn, one of the leading names in HR and applicant tracking software, where he helped engineer solutions that power the way businesses find, manage, and retain talent.
Throughout it all, Zach has remained a devoted practitioner of.NET and Microsoft technologies, not out of habit, but out of genuine conviction that the right tools, wielded with precision, can do extraordinary things. It’s that same conviction that makes him a natural fit as the Lead Cloud Applications Engineer at Cloudforce, leading development efforts on our nebulaONE® R&D team.
When he’s not architecting solutions, Zach is a devoted husband to his wife Kaitlin and father to their two young children. In his downtime, Zach feeds his competitive streak on the soccer field, unwinds with a good board game, and makes his way through fantasy and science fiction epics, usually at 1.5x speed on audiobook.

- I like playing board games, competing in soccer, reading fantasy and science fiction, and playing outside with my kids.
What is your favorite tradition or holiday?
- I always look forward to getting together with my family on Thanksgiving. Eating tons of food, watching football, and playing games with the people I love most is really special.
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
- Languages. Being able to communicate with anyone and being comfortable traveling anywhere would be a life changer.
